John David Ebert on Heidegger's "Origin of the Work of Art".

John David Ebert blogs at cinemadiscourse.com, and has recently written The New Media Invasion.

Also on Heidegger's Question Concerning Technology.

Comments:
I listened to the bit re: Origin of Work of Art. Once he got to his comments about the the focus of the lecture (after the first 8 minutes) I found it a useful reminder of the essay. But that's all that was available.

The visuals here were distracting, since he simply was lecturing. I wonder if as he went along, he might have noted how this presentation was not a work of art, since only its usefulness was evident??
