Today I learned, in an appreciation of Günter Grass, that Dogs Years was
inspired by the experimental syntax of the likes of Martin Heidegger
That's one way of putting it. Under appreciated stylist, Martin was.
How could you did not know this? Martin was certainly not happy about Günter.

Which reminds me, I came across Bernhard's "Old Masters" while clearing book shelf room. I should blog from that before it retreats again into the hiddenness my Dogs Years wandered to.
