In the Guardian, Erling Kagge pines for silence.
Silence is about rediscovering, through pausing, the things that bring us joy. My children hardly pause any more. They are always accessible, and almost always busy. “Everyone is the other, and no one is himself,” wrote the German philosopher Martin Heidegger.
