Coming home is enjoying The Eternal Recurrence of the Same. Reading the stuff Heidegger wrote at the same time about Ereignis, the Greek beginnings, and the parousia of the God to come, it sometimes seems his thinking was also swept up in Nietzsche's notion of recurrence, which Heidegger nominated as the last movement of metaphysics.
