The thoughts and sentiments that motivated Heidegger's involvement with the National Socialists,we may understand from Heinz, were not the product of Heidegger's analysis of Being (as Victor Farias and others would have it) but assembled out of long-standing figures from elitist thinking (Nietzsche), or elitist-authoritarian thinking (Plato), or idolization of the state (Hegel).
