An excerpt from Vincent Vycinas's Earth and Gods, 1959. Why have a fourfold when you can have a foursome?
Earth, sky, gods, and mortals necessarily belong together. In such a reciprocal reflection each of the four appropriates itself to its own essence and becomes bound with the rest in the conflux of their togetherness. The world expropriates or grants properties to each of the foursome; and each of the foursome receives these properties, appropriates them.

P. 231
Is conflux the antonym of clusterflux?
