The way forward for the Vedic tradition.
This is how the Upanishadic transcendentalism will proceed. It is for one conscious of the post-Hegelian philosophy of transcendental phenomenology of Husseri in its development towards the existential phenomenological traits of Heidegger and Sartre; to see where exactly the advanced model of the Upanishads can be located or reflected upon.

Comments:
The translation of St Augustine's visions are interesting --with "a flash of one trembling glance it arrived at That which is Ananda." St. Ananda feast day, yall.

IM not completely sure that Schoepenhauer would agree with intepreting the wisdom of the Upanishads as "transcendental phenomenology". Philosophers more capable than myself can perhaps offer their own views of Sch.'s "Will" and his critique of Kant (and his readings of hinduism for that matter) but Schop. was not "transcendental" in the sense Kant or phenomenology was (as many Enowningites probably realize). While Schopenhauer's system does depend on metaphysical views (more immanent than transcendental, but...not to be misaken for spinoza pantheism...or hegelian dialectic either) that's only part of his schema.

Like the Buddha, Schopenhauer might be read as a great psychologist or counselor rather than strictly a philosopher. A human, at least somewhat rational one, eventually realizes the blind futility of the Will...by removing the veils of maya so to speak --and tries to achieve sanity of a type . The philosophical views have certain practical consequences--not merely speculative or theoretical. To the Hegelian sorts that may be ...a type of fatalism (Zizek detests Schopenhauer, apparently) but that pessimistic wisdom of Schop. still seems relevant, especially in a post-Maoist, post Hiroshima world--Schop's philosophical entropy in a sense.
