Elite Daily has a bunch of Kerry Skarbakka's photos of
people falling ("Heidegger described human existence as a process of perpetual falling"). I think they reveal an ontological difference. There's the falling-about-to-strike-the-ground pictures, that I react to with flinching from imminent pain, and there's the falling-into-the-abyss pictures, that elicit the dread that there is no ground.
