Analysis by David Farrell Krell
As Ereignis, eternal recurrence of the same displays the covert, essential relationship of time to being as a whole.

Comments:
Yes I love David Farrel Krell. His work on Heidegger's Nietzsche volumes and Basic Writings is second to none; a very honest, good-spirited and noble man. And he is right to locate a stark continuity between Nietzsche and Heidegger since after Nietzsche unravelled the anti-nature project of Christianity it was left to Heidegger to re-introduce the question of nature, i.e. Being, and, of course, human nature, Da-sein. According to my own philosophical labour and self-experimentation, eternal return is only tolerable and can only be internalized on the basis of thoughtful habituation, which is itself only possible on the basis of the event, of ereignis. Why does Being conceal itself? That is the mystery...
