New MH quote in the Brooklyn Rail.
A rose is a rose is a rose. Or, as Martin Heidegger put it, “what is pre-given to the poet … can be re-given in the poem.”
This is the only page on the indexed internet that this quote appears in; not in any books I've indexed. Anyone recognize it?
